The key roles of nursing are advocacy, promotion of a safe environment, research, participation in shaping health policy and in patient and health systems management and education.

Nursing care for individuals of all ages and cultural background who are healthy and all in a holistic manner based on the individuals physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs. Nursing combines physical science, social science, nursing theories and technology in caring for those individuals.

The complexity of the people’s health care needs requires the collective knowledge skills and actions of nursing. Nursing makes its own unique contribution to the collective pool of various disciplines.
